Civil engineer with extensive experience in the mining industry, both in large-scale operations and in management consulting, leading the development of business strategies and mechanisms for their operationalization.
His practice is focused mainly on the areas of productivity, operational efficiency, cost reduction, continuous improvement, change management, and strategic planning, among others.

Led the development of a unique productivity platform and information system which today covers already 30% of the world copper production.
Co-led team that advised Mitsubishi on the purchase of ~22% of Quellaveco project in Peru for US$600M, and the subsequent investment of US$5.5b for its start-up.
Conducted an optimization process for Los Bronces’ contracted services portfolio, identifying opportunities for ~USD60M annually and designing detailed initiatives to capture more than ~USD20M within the first-year period.
Identified and planned cost-saving opportunities and revenue increase initiatives for +US$80M annually in the Latam region for the new Komatsu Mining Company, including a new organization structure, offices relocation, and workshops utilization increase.
Developed the 3-years roadmap with detailed initiatives for the integration process of JoyGlobal and Komatsu, setting up the PMO process and governance to track the value creation and monitor the plan progress.
Increased Los Sulfatos Project (Anglo-American) IRR by 83%, reconfiguring mining method, production capacity, and bringing forward 7 years to start-up.
Lessened Santo Domingo Project (Capstone) CAPEX by 10%, reaching 18% higher IRR and enabling early works execution approval.
